Project Summary Conference Participation Project Activities
Visualisation in Archaeology represents a collaborative undertaking between its two principal partners: 3’s Company (Consultancy) Limited and University of Southampton.

3’s Company (Consultancy) Limited specialises in archaeological illustration, publication (traditional and digital), information graphics, and also contributes to an MA programme of study in archaeological illustration.

The University of Southampton is a recognised centre of excellence, specialising in distinctive research areas; notably, visual representation in archaeology and virtual reality.

The VIA Project Team comprises a core group of specialist consultants. . .

2010 VIA Archaeological Illustrators Snapshot Survey
The survey will contribute to a broad, baseline understanding of where visualising practices, practitioners and products are currently situated at a time when traditional modes of production and forms of dissemination are increasingly under review.

2009/10 Graphic Office Managers Interview Survey
A structured interview survey of managerial-level respondents exploring issues around the perception of graphics services within the sector, the value of professional development in the graphics environment, and anticipated sector trends.

Association of Archaeological Illustrators & Surveyors Membership Data Upgrade
In association with the AAI&S, the VIA project has organised and carried out a membership data upgrade to provide key respondent information for the VIA Snapshot Survey.
